Re-tests and Projects

Hola clase:

If you need a re-test on the unit 2 exam be sure to let me know if you are staying after school. You can also come during your lunch. YOU NEED TO STUDY FOR A RE-TEST!!!! Don't just glance over your original test for 10 minutes and hope to memorize the answers. YOU WILL JUST KEEP FAILING TESTS! If you never learn one concept, you can't move on to the next one. You need to go back to past blogs and use the extra help I've posted and also utilize the ebook. I'm not going to keep offering re-tests if you're not studying for them. I will just write a whole new test.

Hispanic Legends Project

Hispanic legends project
Your group will research and do a re-enactment of a traditional Hispanic legend.
This project will be due on Halloween (THURS. Oct 31st) for a test grade.
Your group will receive one grade – so be sure everyone is doing their fair share.

The requirements are:
-Visual representation (video or skit)
-Total group participation
-At least 5 minutes in length
-List sources
A few ideas: “la llorona”, “el chupacabra”, “la pascualita”,
“el cuco”, “la viuda”, “la luz mala”, “la niña blanca”, “las campañas”
…or find your own.
Must be from a spanish-speaking country (scary is better!)
Most legends are told to children in order to keep them from misbehaving, so think along those lines when you research.

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Clase - the majority of you will be taking the PLAN test on Tuesday of next week and I will be administering the test to my homeroom upstairs. While I will still see my 4th block on this day, I don't want 1st and 4th to be on different schedules. So if you are scheduled to do your project on Tuesday 10/8 - good news, you will now be going on Monday 10/14. This will make it difficult for me to get these grades on your first 6 weeks report card so they will probably be the first grade on your 2nd 6 weeks. Here are the people who will now go on MONDAY 10/14:

1st block
Jason - Bolivia, Zaire - Puerto Rico, Juan S. - El Salvador, Jessie - Venezuela, Casey -   Argentina

4th block

Hardy - Mexico, Lacy- Cuba, Emilee - Colombia, Teona - El Salvador, Wyatt - Venezuela, Fernando - Honduras
